Chemical cleaning of a heat-exchanger

New Caledonia

A thermal power plant in New Caledonia asked CTP environment Asia Pacific to carry out chemical descaling of a steam condenser.

CTP environment Asia Pacific developed an optimum chemical cleaning procedure, which incorporated effectiveness, in terms of the residue to be dissolved, as well as protecting the integrity of the materials exposed.

The active chemical solution was circulated through the tube side of the condenser until the limescale forming salts were completely dissolved.

The progress of cleaning was ensured with the aid of a physico-chemical analysis protocol, to guarantee the best possible results and 100 % harmlessness of the equipment.

The operation took place as planned by CTP environment Asia Pacific:
